Day 2 of Avoiding Allergens

I'm only half-way through the day, but today is harder than yesterday. I really want a Pepsi. The day started at 5:00 a.m. with Dimples throwing up all over the stairs, hallway and bathroom. Even though I had to go to work today, I had to also clean up the puke. Once I got him back to bed, I went to sleep for another hour, got up and went to work.

I had two hard boiled eggs before I left. I LOVE EGGS! At work, during snack time, it was VERY tempting to grab a bunny and pop it in my mouth. I think that is what I am going to miss the most. Crunchy cookies, candy and cakes.

I had chicken the day before yesterday. It was YUMMY! I just sprinkled it with salt and pepper and paprika, cooked it in the oven, and that was it. I am making a pot roast for dinner. We will see how that goes. Haven't had a roast for almost two years.

I am trying to avoid the Excedrin Migraine, but I really need a caffeine boost. Maybe I will just take a little nap! I am supposed to be at a birthday party, but someone had to stay home with the sick one. I am kind of glad because I don't know if I could pass up the yummy stuff so early in the game.

  2. LOL @ Lanie.
Is it the caffeine that you may be allergic to? I think there is a caffeine free Pepsi. If it's not sold in the stores near you then you can call your Pepsi distributer or your local Walmart/grocery store and have them order it for you. They'll usually do it if you're buying several bottles/cases of cans at a time. Then you get the store price on it. I used to work for a Pepsi distributor. We had a store brand of gingerale that people were NUTS about but it was only offered in our area and not a lot of places carried it. Walmart would order cases for a person. I know Walmart sells the Coke version b/c I buy that a lot for us. We use caffeine free tea too.

  3. Haha Lanie!

Mandy, are you feeling any better yet? Have you noticed a difference now that you're making sure to avoid the foods you are sensitive to? Get through a week without the soda and you'll never go back. I promise! :-)
