Good Grief!

So, I woke up this morning and felt like I could have slept for another four hours. You know it's bad when you wake up wondering when you're going to be able to fit a nap in! I pry myself out of bed to get the first kid ready for school. He leaves 1/2 hour before the others. While I'm waiting for his ride, I hear one of the cats in the garage. I open the door, reach out and grab her, and I step on a sharp "rock." A few seconds later, after walking into the kitchen, I turn around to see a trail of blood behind me. I go back to the rug and dig out a shard of glass that I sliced the bottom of my foot with.

Once the bleeding had stopped, and my son's ride arrived, it was time to get the other kids ready for school. One complains because there is no milk. When we remind him he needs to be more thankful and not complain so much, he says, "I'm supposed to be thankful we're out of milk?" How does one argue with that logic.

My youngest decides as we're walking out the door that he didn't eat enough for breakfast. I tell him, go get a granola bar and eat it on the way to school. He brings it out the door, the dog's tongue morphs into one similar to a frog's, and he slurps the granola bar out of the child's hand. So, the child goes back into the house for another granola bar and walks 6 paces behind us the rest of the way to school.

When I weighed myself this morning, I was still the same as I have been for the last two days. I am frustrated as I am back to making good choices. Why haven't I lost the three pounds I gained last week?

I have school today, and I have still not managed to get a nap in! I forgot to close up the house and turn on the air, so I am leaving it up to my hubby when he gets home. He's gonna be ticked because I'm sure it's over 80 in here.

  2. Did he forget that he's supposed to be sucking up for his birthday? He needs to call me. It's a week from tomorrow - he should really be putting on the charm.
